Make Learning Fun With Picture Books

It can happen that children would complain about being in school or in a day care center.
They would probably say that their classroom is boring or that when their teacher tells a story, he or she makes them feel sleepy.

As we always say, learning should be fun and having picture books will make it even more fun. Story telling need not be boring. Simply have the right picture books to draw children's attention and perk up their imagination. Tell a story while holding a big picture book allows children to be involved and imagine and picture out what is going on in the story.
Even at an early age, develop and enhance your child's literacy including his listening skills.
Provide him with books that could stimulate him to figure out and read each letter even if he doesn't yet know exactly what it means.
Provide him with all sorts of printed materials and books.
Read the stories out loud for him to hear the correct pronunciation of words.

He will be able to absorb these and learn them all in his own little way.
Encouraging kids to learn through books is not so hard.

Here are a few tips: Make reading a habit; never forget to include reading time in the children's schedule of day-to-day activities.
Point each word when you are reading the book, this will let them know that they should read from left to right.
Use picture story books that contain a lot of rhyming words as much as possible so that they can join you.
Define new words and always try to ask about their own perspective of the picture they see.

Leave the picture books for children to explore; just make sure they know they must return them in their proper place.
